COVID Information Take a virtual tour
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, venues are carefully managed to ensure the safest possible environment.
In addition to enhanced cleaning protocols in all spaces, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems (HVAC) are operating in accordance with Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines. This includes the use of outside air, as well as the installation of MERV-13+ rated air filtration pads.
For patrons attending performances and events at War Memorial venues, please review the COVID Vaccination and Masking requirements that have been put in place by the producer of your performance.
WAR MEMORIAL and DAVIES SYMPHONY HALL
For Mega-Events the War Memorial requires that all patrons five (5) years of age or older must present either proof of Full Vaccination, or a negative "rapid" antigen test result received within one calendar day prior to their entry, or a negative PCR test result received within two calendar days prior to their entry. Patrons four (4) years of age and under are not required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative test for entry. Boosters are not required for patrons to enter. Full Vaccination and boosters are strongly encouraged whenever possible for all people, regardless of whether they are required to have received them. Additionally, all patrons must wear Well-Fitted Masks that cover their nose, mouth, and chin when inside the Opera House or Davies Symphony Hall, unless they are actively eating or drinking. A non-vented N95/KN95 mask is strongly recommended as a Well-Fitted Mask, even if not fit-tested, to provide maximum protection. A Well-Fitted Mask does not include a scarf, ski mask, balaclava, bandana, turtleneck, collar, single layer of fabric, or any mask that has an unfiltered one-way exhaust valve.
For the War Memorial’s full policy, please refer to the Mega-Event COVID-19 Vaccination and Masking Policy.
HERBST THEATRE, THE GREEN ROOM, ATRIUM THEATER, EDUCATION STUDIO
For Small Indoor Events, the War Memorial requires:
- The producer or presenter of the event (the Licensee) may choose whether or not patrons must wear Well-Fitted masks while in the venue. If a Licensee chooses to require masking, masks must be Well-Fitted and cover the nose, mouth, and chin unless the wearer is actively eating or drinking. A Well-Fitted Mask does not include a scarf, ski mask, balaclava, bandana, turtleneck, collar, single layer of fabric, or any mask that has an unfiltered one-way exhaust valve.
- The War Memorial strongly encourages all unvaccinated persons to wear Well-Fitted masks regardless of whether the Licensee has required them to be worn.
- Licensees may choose whether or not to require proof of COVID-negative tests (including which tests are acceptable), vaccination, and/or boosters from patrons.
For information regarding the requirements for your performance or event, please contact the presenter’s box office or the host of the event.
